Our branch is located in the capital city of Nigeria and was established in 2001. Currently, all habitable continents have representatives in our branch. Na wow for Nigerian men oh! :)

Monthly meetings are held in select members' homes on the last Sunday of each month. The branch region is divided into five zones. Each zone gets to host twice a year allowing members to easily manage travel for a meeting.

Our meetings are fun, informative, and useful. We engage in issues such as fundraising, various community projects, immigration, employment, housing, business, transportation, health, food, and culture. We also organize fun activities for our children and our spouses. We learn about new food and new culture and lend a helping hand to others.

In support of a National Nigerwives Charity initiative, we work with students of the FCT School for the Blind in Jabi, a primary school. We support them in a Saturday Reading Program and have brought a lot of attention to the school. We are very active in their various activities such as National White Cane Day, Christmas, Graduation, and End of Year school parties. In addition to this, we work with the Nigerwives Braille Center in Lagos. Together we provide other blind students with scholarships and make it possible for them to get Braille textbooks and reading books.

We engage in other charitable activities besides the visually impaired, especially those that help women. The association raises funds to make these activities successful and we continue to look for donors to help us reach our goals.

One of our major targets at this time is the building of a facility that will accommodate a Skills Acquisition Center, a home for the elderly, as well as an additional Braille Center that can service the Northern part of Nigeria. We pray we can actualize our dream.

Our doors in Abuja ( the FCT) are always open to all of our sisters both old and new so please don't hesitate to look for us and join us whether it's permanently or just a visit.
