MEMBERSHIP
The year of 2017 generally was not so fruitful. The attendance is still poor. Some of our members went back home. Port-Harcourt branch had 22 paid-up members in 2017. We also had 5 new members who joined us in 2017.
AGM 2017 IN IBADAN
No delegates been sent to represent the branch.
ACTIVITIES
The security situation in Port-Harcourt is still not too pleasant. Some of the events were postponed.

Raquel’s birthday at Shell Club. There were beautiful buffet lunch and all joined in sharing her birthday cake.

Swimming at B Con. There were only 4 ladies present with a few children and grandchildren.

The Polo club in Port-Harcourt invited Nigerwives. There was a special seating arrangement for Nigerwives. Drinks and food were offered.

Some of the members with their kids went to Pleasure Park. It was a very nice experience.

Christmas party was not held due to the sad news about one our member’s husband. We gave her all our moral support.

We had Bake Sales at Shell Kindergarten School. Not many of our members participated, but it still went well.

Kaleidescope did not hold this year due to the fact of the security concerns in the state.
HAPPY EVENTS
Some members celebrated the birth of new Grandchildren.
Dr. Asa’s daughter got married and few members attended the wedding.
Our old member Anna came back from overseas after looking of her new Grandchild. We are happy to have her back with us.
BEREAVEMENTS

Popi’s husband passed away in December. Burial was very dignified and well attended.

Erna also lost her husband. He died and was buried in his home village. Erna has gone to USA to stay with her daughter for a while.
CHARITIES
We donated various food items to two homes run by Catholic Sisters for street children and we gave clothing and slippers to another charity also run by Catholic Sisters for prisoners.
We are looking forward to a successful 2018.
