Greetings to all  our Nigerwives Sisters! We believe, the year 2016 was a blessed and peaceful year despite the visible hardship we all experienced here in Nigeria.
Our small branch consists of 10 members which are citizens of different countries such as The United Kingdom, India, Congo, Togo, Guyana, Poland and Russia. We reside in three cities of Ondo state - Akure ( the capital), Ondo and Idanre. They are situated very close to one another and it allows us to meet with no much difficulty.
We hold our meetings every month (2nd Sunday) on a rotational principle. Between April and October we meet separate in each city (where our member live) in small groups because rainy weather doesn't allow us to travel far considering the poor conditions of the highways. From November to March we hold " full house" meetings according to the schedule approved for the year. This arrangement allows us to visit each of our members' homes and families at least once a year.
Our branch may be one of those where an average age of members is not less than 60 years. But being "old" by age,we are still fill young !!! We have very lively meeting where hosts entertain us all with delicious menu every time.
Due to the fact that our members are mostly pensioners , we do not have much opportunities and funds to carry out big projects or offer donations often. Our monthly contributions are used to support some special groups of local residents in the state during Christmas and Easter periods. We also donate time to time to the National Project of Braille Books production.
Traditionally we present bags of rice and beans to Leprosy settlement in Akure and to the Old people home in Ondo town.
This year 2017 due to the difficult economic situation that still affects our members, we are yet to decide on the list of items for donation.

Finally, we want to appreciate God for keeping all of our members hale and hearty. We really have many reasons to say THANK YOU LORD for giving us lots of opportunities to celebrate last year! Birthday jubilees, wedding anniversaries, weddings of our children, arrival of grandchildren, moving to new houses were just some of the joyful events we witnessed. Our aged ladies do still have strengths to travel to their various home countries for annual vacations with other family members there. We really appreciate God for giving them good health. We also pray that as we count ourselves as 10 the same number will celebrate the end of 2017 in full attendance.
We expect fruitful in decisions and encouraging in attendance AGM 2017 in Ibadan. A lot is expected by all of us as we may take revolutionary decisions. Remain blessed.
