MEMBERSHIP STRENGTH

The Branch has seventeen paid up members and three (Nonpaying) Honoring members.

 

MEETING SCHEDULE

We hold our meeting every last Saturday of the month, usually in the homes of different members. We are always made comfortable by our Host with lots of food and drink.

NIGEWIVES CHILDREN’S PARK

We have just finished our second phase of our children’s Park which is Landscaping and planting of flowers. We have acquired some play equipment’s for children and we are in the process of acquiring more.

​

CHILDREN’S EVENTS

We have a special program every Saturday where children are taught arts and craft among other things.

We also partnered with Java sound music institute during their graduation ceremony which took place at our children’s park.

We had a wonderful performance by the students of theatre Arts University of Uyo which is to take place on a monthly basis.

ACTIVITIES

Weddings: The Branch witnessed two weddings in 2017, Ladmila’s daughter and Hepzy’s son.

​

Birthdays: We celebrate members birthdays every month with gifts and entertainment. Our Treasurer, Ann Medeekong celebrated her 80th Birthday in December in grand style and was well attended by members.

We also attended the first year memorial service in December for our late sister, Margareta Okafor.

​

 

NEW ARRIVAL

Our member Rose Okon delivered a baby girl in October.

​

NIGERWIVES OUTING

To mark our end of year members had a lunch get-together in Uyo.

 

 

Finally, I take this opportunity to wish all our sisters’ nationwide all the best for year ahead we look forward to a successful AGM 2018 in Uyo.
